Pikes Place Market

I had a nice Idea today that the kids and I would go to Seattle to spend a little time at the Pikes Place market. My main Objective was that I wanted to get some flowers at the Market. So that's what we did. From our house to the ferry it's about a half an hour ride. Then a half hour ride on the boat. Pikes place market it about a 20 minute walk if you walk at a good pace. Getting to the market is quite a climb too. At one point the kids and I walked up 105 steps. WHEW!

I put the camera high up to get this shot. There is Ari in the crowd can you see her ? Noah is in front of her.
Fresh Veggies and Fruits, We bought and ate berries.Noah on the ferry as we were arriving in Seattle.
and Ari and I below. It was a fun day, very hot, a good day to be outside.
I forgot to bring some change for the pan handlers in Seattle, I forgot just how many there are when you step off of the ferry and down onto the sidewalk. Lot's of people down and out. Ari wouldn't let Noah near any of them, trust me. I don't want them to be afraid of street people as if they are no good or we are better than them  etc. I want them to be  careful but to see that we can help them out too by dropping a dollar bill or change in their cups here and there as we go along. All I had with me was what we needed.  No I didn't take any pictures of the homeless.....SHEESH!

Oh wow, I have read about Pikes Place Market in food magazines and whatnot, and think it is totally cool. We have something like this up in DC, it burned down about a year ago and now they have opened it up recently. I'll have to take a trip some Saturday.
