Very often lately I've been getting the travel bug. I want to go places and do things. I can look online for a couple of hours looking for vacation deals and places I might want to go. Always in the end I don't have the time away from my job, or the money. So You may notice on my blog these last few days that I've been off, that I've been going places and doing things. I think wanting to see new places has something to do with that.
It's not that I've not been to Seattle and Pikes Place market before, I have, but I've decided to take trips around the area that I can afford. Yesterday we went to Hansville which is about 35 minutes away from Silverdale. We picnicked with some friends at Buck Lake. Noah Swam with Nana and Eeps and Lia. Ari joined them for Volleyball later along with Kaui and the men folk.
We set up the croquette and every one took a turn playing. Noah especially loved the game. ( But he doesn't like to lose, just like his dad) In this picture Noah is with Kaui and Nana.

Buck Lake, Hansville WA.
I think I'll take more short trips with and without the family just to satisfy the travel bug I seem to have picked up. I have a plan to visit Forks Wa. La Push and Olympic National Park. All areas in the Twilight book series. Also about a 40 minutes away is Whidbey Island, I picked up a brochure and it looks like a fun place to run around for the day.

Today is Sunday so it's off to church for me, Have a blessed day all!

happy Sunday :) it looks so nice there, I want to go somewhere too :)
I think it's funny that you live in Hawaii and still get the bug to leave. I don't think I would ever leave if I was there.
BTW I'm reading the Twilight books and would be fascinated by those areas you are in right now. Have fun!
Looks like a fun place!
My Dad was stationed on the USS Whidbey Island when he was in the Navy.
Just thought I'd throw out that random tidbit.
Isn't it amazing how much you find around you to do? Usually when people think of vacations, it is off to some exotic location (like I am prone to do) but there are so many local attractions we have yet to discover.
